OpenWater Launch Event Features NYT Bestselling Author Chip Conley

Not even an atmospheric river of heavy rains could keep the crowd away from OpenWater’s official launch event last week in San Francisco. Despite the downpour outside, it was a packed house inside The Battery event space, filled with the energy of more than 120 attendees eager to learn more about OpenWater and see our fireside chat with New York Times bestselling author, Chip Conley.

OpenWater is where wisdom meets opportunity, and having literally authored the book on Wisdom at Work, Chip was the perfect guest for OpenWater’s public debut. He sat down for an intimate fireside chat that covered everything from sparking curiosity, wisdom in the age of artificial intelligence, and the importance of community. Chip even fielded audience questions and engaged with the crowd one on one.

We really could not have asked for a better way to formally introduce OpenWater to the world. OpenWater is building the Wisdom Network, a community of accomplished professionals with decades of experience, and connecting them with new economic opportunities. Our community is at the heart of everything we do. Assembling so many people with so much wisdom and experience in one room and watching them connect and collaborate was truly amazing to experience.

In addition to launching OpenWater itself, Chip’s event also served as a kickoff for our events series. We’ll be hosting a number of virtual and in-person events over the coming year that cover a wide range of topics and interests. These upcoming virtual events are free and open to the public (but space is limited, so register today!):

We’d like to give a big thank you to Chip, our Founding Ambassadors and Advisors who helped put the event on, and all the attendees who made last week’s event so incredible. But we’re just getting started!
