I want great lawyers to become powerful executives and climb to the top legal seat -- or the seat they decide is right for them. My goal is to demystify the mysteries that float around the legal profession. I do that by supporting ambitious lawyers on their journey to become influential executives, and then I pass along as many lessons as I can. I simplify, and simplify, and simplify nuanced concepts, finding ways to put them into practice. I tell stories about bananas, ballerinas, and baseball players. If you know me, you know that I am all about building Brilliant Legal Functions and I'll share the rituals that I've used in the past. I've had a successful career: leading companies like Pandora Media and Grove Collaborative through their public offerings, managing talent during the COVID-era, and working on go-to-market strategies for emerging technologies like online advertising, media streaming, and clean e-commerce. I've served as CLO and CHRO, board member, adjunct professor, and investor. I bring all of that experience to our discussions. I'm also a Defiant Imposter -- I want all of us to stop getting it twisted. Sometimes we may have somebody sitting in our heads telling us what we can't do, but sometimes that somebody is sitting in the real world. Sometimes, we hit actual red lights. My goal is to help you turn those red lights green for yourself and for the people around you.
